A Berry good trip

It was time to take Attie on a road trip.

The destination: Berry, NSW.

Berry :)

For some reason, I’m obsessed with Berry.

We went there a long time ago for a family christmas, and I just felt happy the whole time.

Ever since, I’ve wanted to take Peter there to show him everything I’ve been obsessively talking about for the last five years.

So We packed up little Zeasar (our foster doggo), and off we went.

Zeasar (our foster doggo) packing himself!

On the way to Berry

We thought we’d get to Berry in one or two days — it’s roughly 9 hours from Melbourne (800kms).

But it took us four days, because we got a bit distracted here and there.

By Places Like Tarra-Bulga National Park.

The ferns in the national park.

With IT’s giant mountain ash trees.

Tall and taller.

And the Corrigan's Suspension Bridge.

Getting all the angles on the bridge.

we also got a bit distracted by all the beachside towns.

Like Vincentia.

And Bermagui.

ANd stopping here and there to exercise amongst the gum trees.

A cheeky yoga session.

Naturally, We Couldn’t Miss the ocean pools along the coast.

The ocean pool in Bermagui.

Or the adventure walks through the forrest.

A nature walk in the middle of nowhere.

But eventually we got to Berry.

It felt a bit surreal actually, in the best way.

Although I’m really not sure I can show or even explain why I love Berry so much.

I think maybe because Berry has a bit of everything.

Berry has the mountains.

A view from the Drawing Room Rocks.

And the OCEAN.

Seven mile beach in Berry.

It has a lot of charm.

The main street of Berry.

and Also A lot OF history.

Bundara Farm where we had our family Christmas several years ago.

There Are LOTs of places to go.

Our bible for finding these places.

But it’s also A PLACE TO Rest.

The start of Drawing Room Rocks Walk in Berry.

SO maybe that’s why we both love berry.

Berry is an all-rounder.

A favourite spot in Berry.

Although I do think the Berry Tea Shop might have something to do with it too.

Tea and scones anyone?

Home from Berry

But before long, it was time to go back home.

So we packed up Attie, and started the drive back to Melbourne.

But the adventure wasn’t really over.

There were Some waterfalls to Discover.

Fitzroy Falls.

And a few furry friends to find.

A sleeping cat in Kangaroo Valley.

We also decided to climb a big mountain.

Just a “quick” run up Mount Kosciusko.

And try our hand at berry picking.

Picking some berries in honour of Berry.

We finished the trip in Beechworth

Lakeside stop in Beechworth.

Spending a few Days in Yackandandah too.

Our free camping site in Yackandandah.

And off we went back home.

Heading home in Attie the van.
